江林多秀发，云日复相鲜。
译文：江畔林木茂盛，花儿盛开；天上云朵落日相辉映，景象明丽。
注释：秀发：枝叶繁茂，花朵盛开。相鲜：景色鲜丽，相互辉映。
征路那逢此，春心益渺然。
译文：征行逢此佳景，惊喜之情顿生。自觉春思渺然，赏心自得，其中佳趣，莫可言传。
注释：那：同“哪。春心，指春景引发的意兴。春，《全唐诗》注：“一作乡。”按：作“乡”非。渺，一作“眇”。渺然，幽远貌。渺然，犹眇绵之意。
兴来只自得，佳处莫能传。
译文：日落西山，整个江面沐浴在夕阳的余晖中，水面泛着金光。
注释：只自：副词。犹言独自。自，词缀，无义。佳处：一作“佳气”。佳气：美好的云气。古代以为是吉祥、兴隆的象征。
薄暮津亭下，余花满客船。
译文：飘落的花瓣伴着晚霞洒落在渡口的客船上，这样一幅绮丽迷人的景象，怎不让人赞叹。
注释：薄暮：黄昏时分。津亭：渡口边的驿亭。余花：残花。客船：旅客乘坐的船；运载旅客的船。

张九龄(678-740) : 唐开元尚书丞相，诗人。字子寿，一名博物，汉族，韶州曲江（今广东韶关市）人。长安年间进士。官至中书侍郎同中书门下平章事。后罢相，为荆州长史。诗风清淡。有《曲江集》。他是一位有胆识、有远见的著名政治家、文学家、诗人、名相。他忠耿尽职，秉公守则，直言敢谏，选贤任能，不徇私枉法，不趋炎附势，敢与恶势力作斗争，为“开元之治”作出了积极贡献。他的五言古诗，以素练质朴的语言，寄托深远的人生慨望，对扫除唐初所沿习的六朝绮靡诗风，贡献尤大。誉为“岭南第一人”。
