翦红情，裁绿意，花信上钗股。残日东风，不放岁华去。有人添烛西窗，不眠侵晓，笑声转、新年莺语。
译文：剪一朵红花，载着春意。精美的花和叶，带着融融春意，插在美人头上。斜阳迟迟落暮，好像要留下最后的时刻。窗下有人添上新油，点亮守岁的灯火，人们彻夜不眠，在笑语欢声中，共迎新春佳节。
注释：花信：花信风的简称，犹言花期。钗股：花上的枝权。残日：指除岁。侵晓：指天亮。新年莺语：杜甫诗：“莺入新年语。”
旧尊俎。玉纤曾擘黄柑，柔香系幽素。归梦湖边，还迷镜中路。可怜千点吴霜，寒销不尽，又相对、落梅如雨。
译文：回想旧日除夕的宴席，美人白暂的纤手曾亲自把黄桔切开。那温柔的芳香朦胧，至今仍留在我的心中。我渴望在梦境中回到湖边，那湖水如镜，使人留连忘返，我又迷失了路径，不知处所。可怜吴地白霜染发点点如星，仿佛春风也不能将寒霜消融，更何况斑斑发发对着落梅如雨雪飘零。
注释：尊俎：古代盛酒肉的器具。俎：砧板。玉纤擘黄柑：玉纤，妇女手指；擘黄柑，剖分水果。擘：分开，同“掰”。幽素：幽美纯洁的心地。镜中路：湖水如镜。吴霜：指白发。

吴文英（约1200～1260），字君特，号梦窗，晚年又号觉翁，四明（今浙江宁波）人。原出翁姓，后出嗣吴氏。与贾似道友善。有《梦窗词集》一部，存词三百四十余首，分四卷本与一卷本。其词作数量丰沃，风格雅致，多酬答、伤时与忆悼之作，号“词中李商隐”。而后世品评却甚有争论。
