译文
在她居住的小楼上，再不闻玉箫吹响。自从与心上人分手后，她已憔悴得不成模样，衣袖上留下了泪痕千行。她在楼上走来走去，楼外依然是旧时的风光。那如烟如织的柳树，最惹起她的怨伤：只恨当初它们太冷漠无情，不懂得把他的坐船牢牢系住，让他不能启程。
注释
小桃红：越调曲牌名，多用来抒情写意。句式为七、五、七、三、七、四、四、五，共八句。
玉箫声断：据刘向《列仙传》载，秦时有一萧史，擅长吹箫，其箫声甚至能将孔雀、白鹤等吸引过来。当时，秦穆公女儿弄玉也喜欢吹箫，与其结为夫妇。秦穆公建造了凤凰楼给他们居住。婚后，二人每日吹箫，竟将凤凰都吸引了过来。后来二人皆随凤凰而去。
凤凰楼：女子闺楼，对女子居楼的美称。
休：语末助词，无义。
浑：全然。
不解：不懂。

小桃红·玉箫声断凤凰楼创作背景
此篇散曲具体创作时间已不可考。杨果的散曲，很有婉约词的情致，具有一种缠绵婉转的情感特色。这一首《小桃红》，所写内容也是婉约词中常见的离别题材，也是此类之一。

小桃红·玉箫声断凤凰楼鉴赏
前三句既以玉箫声断喻与恋人的分别，也以凤凰双栖、弄玉萧史的美满婚姻反衬自己的孤独。首句“玉箫声断凤凰楼”，可看做写实，但联系其中暗含的典故，更能体味作者用此句作为开篇的深意。“玉箫声断”这一典故，其中隐含着“人去楼空”的惆怅意味。曲中的女主人公并未如弄玉一般，与丈夫一起随凤凰仙去，从“憔悴人别后”一句即可看出，“玉箫声”其实是指代女子的心上人。“留得”紧接“别后”二字，文字上衔接得很细密，情感上则造成一种回环和转折。人既已离去，留下来的只是女子的空守、苦盼，以及“啼痕满罗袖”。作者没有直接写女子如何想念，而是通过袖上泪痕这个细节，将她的黯然神伤，以及难以自制的思念和孤独表现出来。
最后几句女子又迁恨于烟柳无情，不知当初留系行舟，不让其离去，更道出了女子的无奈痴情。“去来休，楼前风景浑依旧”，这两句以人的“去来”与“风景”的“依旧”进行对比，这就使“离别”的主题得到了深化。风景不解人心，不管人间如何生离死别，它都只是一如既往地存在着，所以才使古往今来许多人发出“物是人非”的沉重慨叹。这首曲子中的女主人公也不例外。楼前浑然不变的景色，使她一次又一次地忆起离别之前和离别之时的情形，不断重温着伤心往事。女子记起心上人当初离开时，江岸边的“无情烟柳”兀自苍翠，却不懂得伸出青青枝条，留住远行人的脚步。一个“恨”字，点出女主人公的怨情和无奈。她不说恨自己留不住GREn/ target=_blank class=infotextkey>情人，只将这种悔恨托付于“烟柳”。这一方面是因为青翠如初的烟柳引起了她的离愁；另一方面，将人的心思投射于“无情”之物，也是古典诗词中常用的手法。短短数句，写得景物凄迷，深致有情。
此曲构思独特，角度新颖层层展开，把一个“情”字表现得极为丰富、深刻。旧地重游、物是人非，最令人伤感，作者把当前的景和以前的情巧妙地联结在一起，以追忆的方式抒发对恋人的深情。

杨果，[1195-1269]字正卿，号西庵，祈州蒲阴（今河北安国县）人。生于金章宗承安二年（宋庆元三年），金哀宗正大元年（1224）登进士第，官至参知政事，为官以干练廉洁著称。卒，谥文献。工文章，长于词曲，著有《西庵集》。与元好问交好。其散曲作品内容多咏自然风光，曲辞华美，富于文采。明朱权《太和正音谱》评其曲“如花柳芳妍”。
