今人为学贪富贵，但事诗书百业废。衣冠端坐自称贤，那识贤人真趣味。
俗家如是僧亦然，只通念诵便值钱。有钱办得好衣食，管他什么教和禅。
吁嗟上来诸佛祖，个个淡薄甘劳苦。刀耕火种作生涯，或打街坊佐常住。
神通运水及搬柴，普请何人肯不来。三更入室传衣钵，腰石舂粮亦快哉。

何南凤(1588-1651)，广东梅州兴宁市石马人，是佛教临济宗传人，又是才华横溢的诗人。字道见，家名觉从，号知非，又号雷山，又称半僧先生，初堂老人，牧原和尚，跛足道人。明代万历十六年（1588）生，清代顺治八年（1651）卒，终年六十五岁。
