吉康国，通利军（今河南浚县东北）人。与吉观国同年进士（《万姓统谱》卷一一五）。按：吉观国，哲宗元符元年（一○九八）为江宁府右司理参军，试宏词科中选，教授河中府（《续资治通鉴长编》卷四九七），徽宗宣和元年（一一一九），为京畿提举常平（《宋会要辑稿》职官六九之三）。据此可推知吉康国生活时代。
