译文
西风软拂着云雾般的发鬟，思量往昔的情事，如同流水一去不还。当初我们曾用紫罗丝带打成鸳鸯结，那些海誓山盟还清清楚楚地心间。但他完全不记得这些温情缱绻，我枉自织成璇玑回文图，也无法使他心还意转。不知有多少次，我的心仿佛碎了一般。在花蒂安上枯萎的花朵，真是枉然。怎耐雨覆云翻，我对他感情太深而缘分太浅，宛如在石上磨玉簪，最容易折断。
红色的楼阁之外，愁压空去沉沉昏暗，月光淡淡，偏照我深夜无眠。无论是阴晴聚散，只能随顺上天的安排和意愿。枉自为相思而憔悴消瘦，却又是为了哪般？姑且在醉酒中暂把愁遣，你难道没有看见，长门宫中青草蔓延，春风中陈皇后泣涕涟涟？一时糊涂而贻误半生，后悔不如早戴荆钗把夫君陪伴。如今只能在暮色中独倚修竹，直到满头白发的晚年。
注释
摸鱼儿：词牌名。原为唐代教坊曲名，后用为词牌。本名《摸鱼子》。双调，一百十六字，押仄声韵。
鬓摇烟碧：形容鬓发如碧空烟霭般蓬松散乱。鬓，鬓发。
参差：纷纭杂乱。
前事：过去的事情。
罗带：丝织的衣带。
鸳鸯结：即同心结，古代用罗带制成菱形连环回文结，表示恩爱。
的的（dí）：明白，清清楚楚。
镜盟：用乐昌公主事。孟棨《本事诗》载，南朝陈末兵乱，乐昌公主与其夫徐德言被迫分离，临行前，破镜为二，夫妇各执其一，后经磨难，终于破镜重圆。
钗誓：陈鸿《长恨歌传》载，唐玄宗与杨贵妃定情之夕，授金钗钿盒为信物，愿世世恩爱不移。在此表示对爱情的忠贞。
浑：全
漫：徒然
回文：十六国时窦滔妻苏慧织锦成文以寄相思。
安花著蒂：花朵落地，再将它给拾起置放在花蒂上。比喻爱情已经破裂，难以恢复。
雨覆云翻：比喻变化无常。
分窄：缘分太薄。分，情分。
石上玉簪脆：白居易《井底引银瓶》诗有”石上磨玉簪，玉簪欲成中央折。瓶沉簪折知奈何，似妾今朝与君别“。喻男子负心背盟，将女子遗弃。
朱楼：指富丽华美的楼阁。
月痕:：月影；月光。
无寐：不睡；不能入睡。
枉了玉消香碎：指女子不必殉情而死。枉，何必。玉消香碎，比喻女子死亡。
长门：长门宫，陈皇后失宠后，汉武帝将她幽居与此宫。
春风泪：王安石《明妃曲》“明妃初出汉宫时，泪湿春风鬓脚垂”。明妃，即王昭君。
左计：打错了主意。
荆钗：荆枝制作的髻钗，古代贫家妇女常用之。指女子因贫寒而装束简陋。
暮天：傍晚的天空。
修竹：高高的竹子。
寒翠：指常绿树木在寒天的翠色。

摸鱼儿·对西风鉴赏
这首词刚一看似乎是写一位弃妇的痛苦心情，其实更有深意。上阕开头展现一位被西风吹乱鬓发的妇人形象，牵起对于往事的回忆。下阕即景抒怀，表达被弃的痛苦。“阴晴”句转作自慰，但又不甘心“被弃”的遭遇。最后终于意识到痛苦根源：是错结了富贵鸳鸯。开篇三句：“对西风、鬓摇烟碧，参差前事流水”，写一位女子对着瑟瑟的秋风，鬓发蓬乱，满腹心事。意在说明：这个女子的遭遇很不幸，内心异常矛盾和苦痛。此刻，她浸入对往事的追忆，品尝着爱情幻灭的苦涩的滋味。
“紫丝罗带鸳鸯结，的的镜盟钗誓”，女子回忆她和GREn/ target=_blank class=infotextkey>情人情投意合时的情景。男子给她系上佩戴鸳鸯结丝带，表示他们的缕缕柔情，山盟海誓永不分开。“镜盟”，借徐德言与乐昌公主事，表示夫妻决不离异。“钗誓”，典自陈鸿《长恨传》唐玄宗和杨贵妃“定情之夕，授金钗钿合以固之。
“浑不记，漫手织回文，几度欲心碎。”笔锋一转，男子负心绝情前秦时苏蕙苦苦思念丈夫窦滔，织锦用来写首尾都能诵读的诗寄到远方，回文、织锦之典，用来指寄给丈夫的书信。女子“手织回文”，寄给GREn/ target=_blank class=infotextkey>情人而不得消息，依然伤悲而已。
上承定情，负誓，“安花著蒂。奈雨覆云翻，情宽分窄，石上玉簪脆”，女方从男方漠然反应中看出事情已无可挽回，努力将是徒劳而已。爱情的花朵已经凋落，流不焉再有情。“雨覆云翻”，句出自杜甫《贫交行》“翻手作云覆手雨，纷纷轻薄何须数”，比喻男子的态度没有恒常。女子一片真心，付之东流，两人的爱情无法再维持下去了，最终走上了不可挽回的绝路。
这几句表明了女子的愿望，但男子态度无情无义，终于走上像玉簪一样摧折。“朱楼外，愁压空云欲坠。月痕犹照无寐。”女子站在楼头，思绪万千。朱楼外，天空中沉沉云雾，被她心头沉重的愁绪压得似乎要坠落下来似的。以云衬愁，哪知愁比云更厚更重。夜幕降临，月突破云的包围，洒下银色的光辉，使她久久不能安眠。几点愁肠，几处苦痛。
“阴睛也只随天意，枉了玉消香碎”，“阴情”偏取“阴”义，意表爱情生活的不幸。嗟叹重拾，觉悟顿生。既然天意如此，也只好顺从天意，尽管为此而“玉消香碎”即忧郁憔悴至死，也不是枉活一场？
“君且醉。君不见、长门青草春风泪。”想得通了，心胸顿觉豁达。“长门青草”，源于五代薛昭蕴《小重山》“春到长门春草青”和韦庄《小重山》“绕庭芳草绿，倚长门”，又借汉武帝时陈皇后失宠幽居于长门宫事以自喻。“春风泪”王安石《明妃曲》“泪湿春风鬓脚垂”。春风指面，杜甫在《咏怀古迹》中有句“画图识得春风面。这几句是女子的自我宽慰。宠辱皆是过眼烟云，终究是一场空。完全不必为云而耗神。
“一时左计。悔不早荆钗，暮天修竹，头白倚寒翠。”“荆钗”，《烈女传》讲：“梁鸿妻孟光，荆钗布裙。”表示妇女的服饰朴素。杜甫《佳人》诗：“天寒翠袖薄，日暮倚修竹”，赞颂妇女生活清贫寂寞而品质忠贞高尚。女子后悔当年一时糊涂，以致落个弃妇的下场，倒不如就做一个贞女，一直过着寂寞清贫的生活。词在悔恨交加的情调中结束。
这首词用典或化用前人诗词成句的地方很多，但融化无迹，如同己出，十分自然精切。上片陈思往事，叙事性很浓，作者运用比喻和比喻性很强的典故来写，收到了叙事清晰、生动形象、词简意丰的效果。下片书写愁绪和悔恨之情，自铸词语和融化典故除了仍有上述特点外，还善于借景抒情，寓情于景，因而更增强了抒情的生动性和形象感。作者是宋末遗民。从他所处的时代看，词写的似乎并不单纯的弃妇之恨，还寄托着词人亡国之思。
