孟冬日日东风狂，长淮水与风争强。层涛如山势欲立，怒潮逆上相颉颃。
大舟乱流流转急，人马蚁集骇欲僵。篙师捩柂誇好手，迎风簸浪抑且扬。

我闻夏后分四渎，百川受职皆循良。迩来洪河恣陆梁，清浊混殽隳旧防。
昨者王师扼淮口，坐制鲸鲵如犬羊。天吴罔象不敢动，河失故道谁之殃。
汉武当年塞瓠子，劳民兆乱纷抢攘。中原父子化鱼鳖，至今千里无耕桑。
我欲愬帝敕河伯，使复故道安天常。清者自清浊自浊，勿冒约束干明章。

陈基（1314-1370），字敬初，台州临海（今属浙江）人，寓居吴中凤凰山河阳里（今属张家港市）。元末江南著名文人，受业于当时著名学者黄溍。元末大乱，群雄纷起，割据于吴地的张士诚闻其名，召为江浙右司员外郎，参其军事，张士诚称王，授内史之职，后迁学士院学士。军旅倥偬，飞书走檄多出其手。朱元璋平吴，爱其才，召之参与《元史》的纂修工作，书成后赐金而还，卒于常熟河阳里寓所。陈基能文善书，写的诗也有不少是反映张士诚起义军生活。明史有传。著有《夷白斋稿》35卷，内诗1卷，文24卷，又外集诗、文各1卷。
