（936—1012）大名人，字太素。太祖建隆二年进士。乾德初，试拔萃高等。为著作佐郎。太宗即位，迁左拾遗，权知兖州，岁余召还。历仕集贤殿直学士、翰林学士、礼部侍郎，终吏部尚书。学问宏博，属文敏赡。尝三掌贡举，极意称奖，苏易简、王禹偁等皆出其门。雍熙中，与李昉等同编《文苑英华》。卒谥文安。有集。
