元末平江路吴县人，寓居无锡，字履道。博学工文辞。兵乱避地，至宜兴，居马治家。与治善者多置酒招饮，厌之，一夕留书别治，夜半遁去。归里，与高启、杨维桢等交往。书画益工。后游会稽，死于兵乱。有《荆南唱和集》。
