拔山力，举鼎威，暗鸣叱咤千人废。阴陵道北，乌江岸西，休了衣锦东归，不如醉还醒，醒而醉。明月闲旌旆，秋风助鼓鼙，帐前滴尽英雄泪。楚歌四起，乌骓漫嘶，虞美人兮，不如醉还醒，醒而醉。三顾茅庐问，高才天下知，笑当时诸葛成何计？出师未回，长星坠地，蜀国空悲，不如醉还醒，醒而醉。
夸才智，曹孟德，分香卖履纯狐媚。奸雄那里？平生落的，只两字征西。不如醉还醒，醒而醉。画筹计，堕泪碑，两贤才德谁相配？一个力扶汉基，一个恢张晋室，可惜都寿与心违，不如醉还醒，醒而醉。

马致远（1250年-1321年），字千里，号东篱（一说字致远，晚号“东篱”），汉族，大都（今北京）人，另一说（马致远是河北省东光县马祠堂村人，号东篱，以示效陶渊明之志）。他的年辈晚于关汉卿、白朴等人，生年当在至元（始于1264）之前，卒年当在至治改元到泰定元年（1321—1324）之间，与关汉卿、郑光祖、白朴并称“元曲四大家”，是我国元代时著名大戏剧家、散曲家。
