苏轼被贬至黄州，常与好友陈季常一起谈论文学。陈季常很好客，经常邀客人到家里，他的妻子是河东郡柳氏经常敲墙赶客，苏轼作诗“龙邱居士亦可怜，谈空说有夜不眠，忽闻河东狮子吼，柱杖落手心茫然。”笑陈季常怕老婆。
