贾琏的女儿生病，他离开王熙凤独居，但寂寞难奈。突然想起酒头厨子多官的媳妇美貌无比、生性轻浮、拈花惹草，就打发小厮去与那娘子一说，她恰好也倾心于贾琏，于是贾琏就去相会，两人像干柴烈火一般热烈，从此勾搭上了。
