商朝末年，纣王暴虐无道，大肆挥霍民脂民膏，姬昌知道纣王的日子不会太长，就联络各地诸侯准备推翻商朝的统治。在临终前叫儿子姬发到床前，教导他要做到令行禁止才会成就王业。姬发继承父亲的遗志起兵终于推翻商朝的统治。
